The MINI John Cooper Works World Championship 50 is a special edition MINI, unveiled to the public in 2009 at the MINI 50 / MINI United event held at Silverston, UK in May 2009.

Critial Reception[]

The MINI John Cooper Works World Championship 50 was generally not well received by the automotive media.

Autocar concluded that the asking price of £33,000 was "frankly ludicrous" and that "we’d rather they’d spent some of that money on improving the JCW’s chassis and making a car truly worthy of Cooper’s sporting heritage".

MINI limited production of the MINI John Cooper Works World Championship 50 to 500 units, with 100 destined for the UK market and 50 for the US .
